A comparative study of children's sexuality in Chinese and American preschool education picture books

Abstract: By taking American preschool children's sex picture books as the research object, this paper probes into their enlightenment to the construction of China's children's sex education system. The article points out that American picture books are complex and changeable in terms of sex education content, education model and education evaluation system, emphasizing the construction of education network from multiple levels, multi-dimensions and multi-stages, and advocating the continuous updating and diversification of education system. When constructing the children's sex education system in China, we should learn from the experience of American picture books to form a comprehensive, scientific and sustainable sex education environment.
