Abstract: This paper discusses the application of risk matrix analysis method in the management of large-scale infrastructure projects. Through the elaboration of the principle, operation process, advantages and disadvantages of risk matrix analysis, combined with the actual case analysis, the practical value of this method in identifying, evaluating and coping with the risk of large-scale infrastructure projects is deeply studied. The research shows that risk matrix analysis can systematically sort out project risks and provide intuitive reference for project decision-making. But there are still deficiencies in quantitative analysis and dynamic adjustment. This paper proposes that a dynamic and iterative risk management mechanism should be established in combination with other quantitative methods to improve the risk management level of large-scale infrastructure projects. At the same time, strengthening the construction of risk management team and creating a good risk management culture are the key to ensure the effective use of this method.
