Abstract: With the rapid development of digital media technology, sports event marketing models have undergone profound changes. This paper explores the application of digital media in sports event marketing, analyzing its characteristics such as faster communication speed, extensive reach, enhanced interactivity, and increased user engagement, as well as the innovative multimedia presentation formats. It also highlights key issues in digital media sports event marketing, including information overload and user attention distraction, challenges of privacy protection and data security, and content homogenization. To address these problems, this paper proposes solutions such as precision marketing and personalized content recommendations, interactive designs to boost user engagement, and strengthening privacy protection and data management mechanisms. The aim of this paper is to provide insights and suggestions for the further application of digital media in sports event marketing in the future.
